Monday Listicles - Class Reunion

Link up with Stasha at The good life for Monday Listicles. It's a different topic every week - follow along and join in. And look at her beautiful pictures while you are checking out her site.

This weeks topic was picked by my friend, Rachel at Totally Ovar It, and she chose 10 Pros/Cons Of Attending Your Class Reunion. Great topic!

Here's my list of totally superficial pros and cons:

Pros:
1. I find it a great excuse to get, or stay, in shape.
2. There is, of course, a handful of people I really do want to catch up with.
3. I get to see the guys that were nerdy who are aging really well. And the guys that were hot that are now... not so hot.
4. I get to show that guy I had the crush on way back then what he missed out on.
5. I get to see which people will still get drunk and act stupid, all these years later.

Cons:
6. Being on Facebook means I'm already caught up on more high school classmates than I probably would catch up with in person! What will we talk about?
7. I get annoyed by the gal who thinks she's an entertainment reporter (she has a podcast that no one watches) and name drops like she hangs out at the Academy Awards.
8. The food usually sucks.
9. I have to see that person who totally intimidated me way back when, and stupidly, still does.
10. I get to see which people will still get drunk and act stupid, all these years later.

Ally, a great list. (-: If I had followed directions this week and posted it these are the things I would have said, esp. about how all the nerds aged so well and all the jocks...not so much. (-:

#6 sums it all up for me. It would be awkward to actually talk to these people, right?

Nerds rock. Now more then ever. Wonder if in 20 years jocks will feel like the nerds did in our time?
Anyhow, I never was bothered by anyone in high school but there were still some people in my class that were so annoying I would rather sit under the table watching back to back episodes of Wonder Pets then speak with them for 0.039 second.

Facebook has almsot made reunions obsolete.

Ha! Yes, I agree with you on all of those! :)

Great list, 5 and 10 made me laugh. Some things never do change from high school.

I've skipped the reunions ~ too intimidating for me but thanks to facebook ~ managed to put together a little get together with some old friends without the crowd ~ but still the fun!

What a great list! I am still totally on the fence and sadly I would definitely be part of the crowd getting drunk and stupid.

Haha!
I didn't go to mine because they couldn't handle my awesomeness...
Obviously.
Kidding.
Nah I just thought it was awkward. Plus if I wanted to know, I'd stalk them on Facebook ;)

Good list Ally. I passed on all my reunions because I didn't enjoy high school very much. I have continued to meet up with pertinent friends from said high school, though, over the years. It would, however, be nice to see some of those "beautiful perfect" people turn fat and/or bald.
Sorry, being snarky. My bad.
